In collaboration with Gulf Data Hub (a world class carrier and vendor neutral MTDC provider in the Middle East), Integrated Design Group has been chosen as the design team to develop a Tier III LEED Silver multi-tenant Data Center. The data center will provide support to KAUST’s new Research & Technology Park. KAUST’s Research and Technology park is Saudi Arabia’s premier innovation hub with facilities to serve every type of research and technology-based business. The university’s mission is to make advances in science and technology through bold and collaborative research in order to diversity the Kingdom’s economic resources. The Research & Technology Park covers a total area of 3.4 million square feet and is fully integrated with the university. The data center will be two (2) buildings around 13,000 square meters each with four (4) data halls in each building around 1,000 square meters each. The design will emulate the façade of the buildings found on the KAUST campus.
