For almost a decade, Integrated Design Group has offered a Co-op program that integrates students’ rigorous coursework with career-related experience.

Co-ops at Integrated Design Group work side-by-side with staff at every level, many of which are subject matter experts who have completed some of the industry’s most impressive and complex projects. One of our former co-ops from this year, Paul Alonge, worked directly with our Architectural Group during his experience at Integrated Design Group. In his own words, Paul discusses what he learned and took away from his experience at Integrated Design Group:

"My name is Paul Alonge and I had the privilege of working at Integrated Design Group from January – June 2015.  Although I was an architectural co-op, through Northeastern University, I never felt like my contributions to the group weren’t valued and was treated as if I was a full-time member of the team. Having the opportunity to collaborate with the other disciplines within the firm was a huge benefit to my experience because of the exposure it gave me to all of the intricacies involved in a project’s development. This exposure encouraged me to push my boundaries of what I previously thought an architect would be responsible for.  Understanding the entire design, construction process is something that I think all architects, future architects like myself, should aspire to achieve.

The working environment at Integrated Design Group was unlike any other I’ve experienced.  I never felt uncomfortable with providing my own input or asking advice from anybody in the office. Often times, I found my former co-workers offering up unprompted suggestions, or anecdotal tales that shed wisdom from their years or even decades of experience. These gestures represented the incredible generosity and kindness displayed by everybody at Integrated Design Group, and for this I’m very appreciative.  I truly believe that the best way to learn your craft is to study from the best and become a sponge that’s willing to learn at all times. If you second this sentiment, then Integrated Design Group is an excellent place to further your aspirations."

Integrated Design Group is always looking to bring students’ fresh perspectives and energy to our growing company. Full time undergraduate students are welcome to review our job board for current Co-op opportunities.
