Telecommunications Client
In a burgeoning internet economy, this telecommunications industry client set out to provide "best of class" web hosting facilities and become the industry leader. Minimizing each new facility’s time to market was also critical to the project, which was designed and completed by the Integrated Design Group, Inc. team while at Carlson.
The project protocol established modular building units and standardized infrastructure components, enabling interchangeable application across a broad range of building locations. The first 190,000 SF Center was critical to the New York City market, and called for the integration of a POP, Network rooms, and multiple 15,000 SF fields of raised floor racks with 2N UPS to Cabinet, N + 1 Generation, and N + 2 Cooling. The high architectural finish resulted in IE SNA GUTH Illumination Design Award winning lobby, pleasant workspace environment, and presentation space.
