The Massachusetts Port Authority (MassPort) outgrew the floor space, power, and the cooling capacity for the data center at the Logan Operations Center. Due to the expanding need for computing space, and in order to augment these shortfalls, Integrated Design Group, Inc. designed expansion space and infrastructure for the facility.

The project included the upgrade of an existing office to a 2,000 sf raised floor computer room with nearly 1,000+ sf of internal support space, occupied by an electrical room, pump room, storage, and office space. In addition, a 3,500 sf exterior mechanical yard housing a generator and two chillers was installed to the north of the structure, and is screened from the public along the popular Boston Harbor Walk, both visually and acoustically.
