- Tony Asfour, Principal
Role: Director of operations p>
Known for: His world travels. Tony was born in Beirut, Lebanon and attended the University des Beaux Arts in Paris, France. During his first job out of school at Pierre Vigneon Architects in Paris, he found his true calling as a manager rather than a designer. He has grown that calling into his role as a founding principal at Integrated Design Group in Boston.
- Brad Gray, LEED AP, Principal
Role: Dallas Regional Manager p>
Known for: Establishing Integrated Design Group's presence in Dallas. Brad relocated to Dallas to open the office and oversee all business activity in the area. Within no time, Brad had the office running, alive with the Integrated Design Group spirit, and humming with work. A Chicago native and Bostonian-by-education, Brad feels right at home in Dallas. He enjoys many of the activities popular in the area -- sport shooting clay, visiting the annual State Fair, and taking in an occasional game at Cowboys Stadium.
- Dennis Julian, PE, ATD, DCEP, Principal
Role: Resident celebrity. With rich experience in electrical engineering, Dennis is often sighted at national data center conferences and is published regularly in industry publications. p>
Known for: Holding the most credentials at Integrated Design Group. In addition to PE (professional engineer), ATD (accredited tier designer), and DCEP (data center energy practitioner), Dennis is one of the firm's handful of SMEs - that's subject matter expert.
- Jack McCarthy, PE, DCEP, Principal
Role: Principal in Dallas p>
Known for: Breaking the Boston mold. Born in Malden, raised in Everett, and a graduate of Tufts University in Medford, Jack is a true product of Greater Boston. Unlike many born-and-raised Bostonians, Jack has relocated to Dallas and is involved in expanding the firm's presence across the country and abroad. In fact, one of Jack's major projects is taking place on the west coast at the University of California at Santa Barbara. There, he is involved in one of the nation's few 400V AC distribution installations within a high performance computing center.
- Stephen T. McNeice, PE, Principal
Role: Managing an all-star team of project managers p>
Known for: Keeping projects and processes ship shape. While working for Carlson Design, Steve was part of a corporate training team and traveled to various company offices creating, teaching and establishing management procedures. It is this experience that keeps Integrated Design Group's two offices operating seamlessly.
- Gary Murphy, Principal
Role: Connecting the dots - from customer to data center solution p>
Known for: Have you seen Up In The Air? Gary is known for sky miles. He travels around the country to various industry events, including 7x24 Exchange, AFCOM and Data Center Dynamics. Gary assesses the needs of existing and new clients and ensures that they are met with a winning team of data center designers.
- Robert Stein, AIA, LEED AP, Principal
Role: Architecture inspiration p>
Known for: Integrating superior architecture into the data center design process. Robert co-founded Integrated Design Group with considerable architecture experience under his belt. In 1978, having been awarded the first of many commissions for US Trust, Robert launched Stein and Associates. Among the hundreds of projects he worked on were Smith Hall at Massachusetts College of Art, the Envision Offices in Boston, MA, Belmont Tennis Club, and the Charleston Holocaust Memorial in Charleston, SC, all of which won awards of Excellence in Design from the Boston Society of Architects. He also won an award of Excellence in Design for the State Street Data center in Kansas City, MO while working at Carlson Design.
- Wayne Drooks, PE, Senior Associate
Role: Mechanical Group Leader p>
Known for: Leading by example. Wayne brings a rich 20+ years of experience in mechanical design, with a particular expertise in data centers. As Mechanical Group Leader, he ensures that his team is constantly learning and striving to be the most knowledgeable and responsible mechanical design professionals. While he would have made an excellent college professor, we're happy that Wayne has found his calling as a mechanical engineer and subject matter expert at Integrated Design Group.
- Mark Monroe, Chief Technology Advisor
Role: Keeping current on the most innovative and energy efficient design p>
Known for: Waxing philosophical on Yahoo's chicken coop data center, Moore's Law and an ideal PUE. An expert in sustainable design, Mark ensures that our clients and staff are aware of the latest technologies in green data center design. His experience includes 30 years in the IT industry and a current position as executive director of The Green Grid, an IT industry consortium focused on data center efficiency.
